Stoi Challenge

Eligibility

• Open to all gymnasts worldwide, any age. Entrants under 18 must have parental permission to enter.
• You must wear at least one Stoi item in your video — any item (even wristbands), past or present. It must be clearly visible on camera.
• One entry per person. Multiple submissions will be disqualified.

Submission Requirements

• Film your best dismount/stuck landing from any apparatus except pommel horse.
• Post the video publicly on Instagram and tag @stoigymnastics.
• Write in the caption of your post that this video is your submission for the @stoigymnastics Stoi Challenge.
• Complete the submission form on this page. Entries submitted only via Instagram without the form will not be counted.
• Your video must be filmed specifically for this challenge. Submitting old footage will result in disqualification.

Filming Requirements

• Film in portrait (vertical) only.
• Raw footage only — no edits on the submission video. Editing your Instagram post is allowed and encouraged.
• The video must be at least 10 seconds long. Keep recording for a few seconds after the landing.
• Have someone film you — no propped-up phones. Good footage performs better on social media.
• The gymnast must be fully in frame from start to finish. Choose a camera angle where nothing gets in the way of the gymnast.

Equipment & Landing

• All apparatus must be set to FIG regulation height.
• Landing surface must be hard floor or competition-height mat setup. Foam pit landings are allowed only if the mat stack is at competition height.
• Substandard equipment or landing setups may result in point deductions or disqualification at our discretion.

Tiebreaker

• In the event of a tie, the entry submitted first wins.

Prizes

• 1st Place: $500 CAD + free Stoi item of choice + Wolf Wear grips of choice
• 2nd Place: $200 CAD + free Stoi item of choice + Wolf Wear grips of choice
• 3rd Place: $100 CAD + free Stoi item of choice + Wolf Wear grips of choice
• 4th & 5th Place: Free Stoi item of choice
• Cash prizes paid via e-transfer or PayPal. Winners must respond within 7 days of announcement or prize is forfeited.

Each entry is scored out of 30 points across three categories:

• Landing (10 pts) — how clean and controlled the dismount is. Steps, wobbles, low landings, or other deductions you'd receive in competition will subtract from your score.
• Difficulty (10 pts) — based on the FIG difficulty rating system. A=1 through J=10.
• Uniqueness (10 pts) — how rarely the skill is seen in competition. The rarer the skill, the higher the score. New skills score highest.

We want to see new skills. If your dismount isn't listed in the current MAG Code of Points (2025–2028), DM us on Instagram at @stoigymnastics before submitting. We'll review it and assign a difficulty value for the competition.

New skills will be scored more favorably on uniqueness.

Results will be announced on May 3 on the Stoi Gymnastics YouTube channel.
